❄️ SCHOOLS & WEATHER ALERT First and foremost, it’s a snow day! Due to the winter storm and hazardous road conditions, Byram Township Schools and Lenape Valley Regional High School are CLOSED today, Monday, Jan 26.
Cancellations: All after-school activities, sports practices, and evening events are also cancelled.
Stay Safe: If you must head out, please drive carefully. Sussex County has opened warming stations for anyone in need of shelter from the cold.
🚒 FIRST RESPONDERS IN ACTION A huge thank you to our Byram Township Fire Department! They swiftly extinguished a fully involved vehicle fire on Route 206 this past Friday afternoon. We are relieved to report that no injuries occurred, thanks to their quick response and professionalism.
🏫 BOARD OF EDUCATION UPDATE Our school leadership is settling in for the new year. The Board of Education recently held its annual reorganization meeting, where newly elected and re-elected members officially took their oaths of office for the 2026 term. We wish them a productive year ahead!
🗓️ TOWN HALL REMINDERS Just a quick reminder as we get into the rhythm of the new year: The Byram Township Council typically meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. It’s a great way to stay engaged with local governance.
